Since half a century ago, the technology of conveyor belt has experienced the following phases:

As its excellent performance, the production sharply increased and partly replace of cutting-type V belt. Then, wedge V belt had emerged in the United States and Japan. Because the V belt is thin and has a large area contacting with the pulley which has a good performance.
The latest products of conveyor belt is the tooth belt which is also called timing belt. It set gear, chains, belt drives on the benefits of one. The advantage of timing belt are as follows: high efficiency of transmission, accurate transmission ratio, low noise, energy saving, convenient maintenance. Although its driving principle applied to a number of patents as early as 1900, but not until after half a century, industrialization began. Since the 80s, timing conveyor belt has finally become the leading precision mechanical transmission products. Especially the using of saturated nitrile rubber and polyurethane elastomer manufacturing high-precision micro-zone. The largest difference between tooth belt drive and traditional conveyor belt is: sync, mute. Therefore, it becomes the most respected environmental protection product now. In recent years, tooth belt gear teeth develop into round tooth which increases the transmission power further, and the development prospect is broad.
